About Logan Mclean

Logan developed a love of flying from a young age watching aerial topdressing planes operating in and around the family farm at Kaukapakapa. His interest was further piqued by observing hang gliders over Muriwai Beach while visiting his girlfriend. He spent many hours learning to fly hang gliders in and around Muriwai and other favourite haunts. From here he progressed to the rag and tubes, motorised hang glider, Quicksilver, Bantam, Kolb, Tecnam, assisting in the  building of Terriers, and finally the Pioneer making him one of the true pioneers of the microlight scene.

There are now approximately 50 Pioneers microlights in New Zealand.
